Brad Pitt has been in the news lately for a whole host of reasons. His recent movie, F1, had him going on a worldwide tour. Then there is, of course, his new relationship and the controversy still surrounding his contentious divorce from ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, amid allegations of abuse. That’s without mentioning his estrangement from his kids, all who have mostly cut contact with him.
Now, new reports from Page Six indicate that his ex-wife might be moving soon, which might put his kids even further away from him. A source told People Jolie is preparing to “put the house up for sale” and move overseas.”[Jolie] never wanted to live in L.A. full time. She didn’t have a choice because of the custody arrangement with [ex-husband] Brad [Pitt],” the insider claimed.

The actress is reportedly planning to relocate as soon as her twins, who are now 17, turn 18. She “plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year. She’s eyeing several locations abroad. She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles.”
Jolie had given hints about her desire to move before. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2024, she explained she “grew up” in Los Angeles, but the only reason she remained in the city is “because I have to be here from a divorce.” Not just that, she added, “But as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave.”
Her reasons for leaving were mostly about privacy. “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety,” Jolie told the outlet. “I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.”
This all comes as recent reports have indicated Pitt is “desperate” to see his youngest kids, Knox and Vivienne, and make amends.” But the Daily Mail reported that he “knows the chance … is remote to say the least.” Pitt reportedly was “devastated” and yet “got the message loud and clear” when his youngest daughter, Vivienne, dropped Pitt from her last name in a 2024 Playbill.
All of Pitt’s other kids who are over 18 have dropped Pitt from their last name. The Daily Mail also reported recently that Pitt considers all his kids “very important to his life” and wants them “all back in the fold.”
Us Weekly also recently reported that the actor’s estrangement from his kids has been very hard for him. He has reportedly “made several efforts to reconnect with his kids.” The outlet also added that he sees his youngest kids, twins, “periodically,” without indicating how often that is, “but the rest of the relationships are strained. It’s caused him a lot of heartbreak.”
It’s not looking like his relationship with his kids can ever be fixed, though. RadarOnline recently reported that Pitt did indeed still have legal visitation of the kids, though the source added, “What use is that if none of the kids want to see him?” The source also specified that sons Pax, Maddox, and daughter Zahara “just hate his guts.”
Soon, all of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kids will be over 18 and will be able to decide for themselves if they want a relationship with their father or not. But we wouldn’t hold our breath.
