The bride’s selection of costume was decidedly Nineteen Sixties in model. Designed by John Cavanagh, on the advice of her future mother-in-law, Princess Marina, it featured a spherical neck with fitted sleeves, in addition to a full skirt with a 15-foot practice. There have been some issues that the costume was too awkward and heavy to maneuver, with the bride reportedly training her curtsy a number of instances.
